THE EBONITE COLLECTION

Bexley presents the Ebonite Collection, inspired by writing instruments from the Golden Age of Fountain Pens.

From the 1850's until the advent of modern plastics in the 1920's, ebonite was the most popular material for making writing instruments. Ebonite is manufactured by hardening natural rubber to create an extremely durable substance that can be produced in many colors and patterns.

The Carved Obsidian has an engraved double diamond pattern on the cap and barrel, and a solid 10 carat gold clip. This is a Limited Edition of 500 fountain pens.

There are four classic ebonite patterns. The rippled material is available in a dark olive green (Green Agate) or a rich brown (Amber Agate). The swirled ebonite is available in chocolate brown and black (Smoke Amber) or dark forest green and black (Smoke Green).

Each pattern is available as a fountain pen or rollerball pen. They have gold-plated trim, include an oval Bexley logo embedded in the front of the cap.

The Ebonite gives you the choice of a Fine, Medium, Broad or Broad Stub nib to bring out that distinctive look in your handwriting. This two-tone nib is 14 carat yellow gold with rhodium decoration. The pen uses international size ink cartridges or can be filled from an ink bottle with the supplied converter. The Ebonite Rollerball can be converted to a ballpoint pen with the supplied refill, if you wish.
